I've had a love of travel from a young age mainly passed on from travelling with my parents as a youngster. As I grew into early adulthood the need to travel started to build, now don't get me wrong my first few holidays were far from authentic travels, they were about chasing the sun and partying!!
However for a number of years it's been about exploring new places, meeting new people, learning about ways of life and understanding people.
I have been lucky enough to travel just me and the husband, as a family of four, with the wider family on many occasions and with friends, which allows for varied experiences and sometimes limitations of travelling opportunities (Sight seeing with a 3 and 7 year old can be challenging at the best of times!!!)
We have travelled long haul, short haul and in a range of accommodations. Think hotel 18-30 up to luxury hotels where the staff cannot do enough for you and anything in between.
I can do all of those things whilst travelling without the need for a blog, so why have I made the decision to start blogging?
For those who know me personally, you will know I generally have two things, an open mind and a view or an opinion. I am also a very chatty thing (maybe sometimes too much)
I have been told told to 'pipe down' in the past and I am sure I will be asked to again in the future!
I'm not painting a very good picture of myself am I! Let's move on........
I am also frequently asked about 'What was it like for the kids there?' 'Did you go to any nice restaurants?' 'Were there any good days out for the kids?' Or 'What was the weather like at that time of year' so to start blogging seems another good reason and I know I am going to thoroughly enjoy sharing our tales of our travels with you all.
Why follow the blog?
What I would like to bring you through tales of our travels is fun, honest and real experiences of many varieties with the intention of helping you make some good holiday choices or indeed just to enjoy a good read or anywhere in between.
On a personal note I seem to have a terrible memory these days so by creating the blog it will give us as a family an opportunity to look back in years to come and relive the experiences.
Finally, I would love the blog to become interactive and hear what you enjoy or maybe don't enjoy about them and whether you have visited any of the same resorts or areas and whether your experiences differed or whether my views resonate with your own experiences.
If you are still with me at his point - thank you!! I am really excited to issue my first blog! We took a trip to Mijas Costa over half term - just the four of us so look out for my first location blog from here on the Costa Del Sol ✈️☀️️🍾
